Staff Fire Awareness Training

A certificated course, for all employees, where they receive expert tuition on how to reduce fires in the workplace and what their actions would be if a fire were to occur. This course complies with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and Health & Safety legislation.

Course Objective

By the end of this course your staff will have:

  • A greater awareness of the dangers of fire and smoke
  • Awareness of all fire safety measures in the workplace
  • An understanding of their actions in the event of fire
  • Confidence in identifying and operating firefighting equipment
  • Awareness of potential fire hazards in the workplace

Fire Safety:

  • Fire statistics
  • Action in the event of fire
  • Operation and types of fire alarms
  • Action upon hearing the fire alarm
  • Means of escape
  • General fire precautions
  • Fire prevention
  • Smoke travel

Fire Extinguisher Training (Optional)

  • The theory of fire
  • Triangle of fire
  • Classes of fire
  • Methods of extinguishing fire
  • Identification and types of fire extinguishers
  • Operation and use of fire extinguishers
  • Basic fire fighting techniques

This training course takes approximately 2 hours if your include fire estinguisher training and is provided at your preferred location. Please note that we have a maximum of 20 delegates per training session. All our training is conducted by ex-Fire Service personnel. Interactive Fire Training Software

Fire drills

Fire drills are recommended to take place at least once a year and preferably once every six months. Records should be kept indicating the date, evacuation time, number of participants, etc. If shift workers are used, night drills should be held too.
