Your fire door inspection will include:

  • A site visit from a fully qualified certified fire door inspector

  • Comprehensive inspection and assessment of your fire doors, frames and associated hardware

  • Individual report on each fire door detailing findings of the inspection and any further action required

Our qualified inspectors will inspect each of your fire doors, including the door, frame and associated hardware, to ensure the frame is secure, gaps around the door, door frame and threshold are correct and the type and condition of the hinges, overhead door closer (if fitted), glazing (if installed), intumescent seals, cold smoke seals, locks, latches, handles and signage. Plus, establish if the fire door is Certificated, Nominal or Notional fire door. To ensure the fire door(s) are fit for purpose, and will provide adequate protection against the products of fire. On completion we provide a clear report detailing which doors are compliant and whether any further remediation works is required.

Fire Door Repair, Maintenance & Installation Services

If requested, we can also assist via our Associate carpenter with any fire door remedial works, which may include

  • Replacement of existing hinges with CE approved fire rated hinges

  • Adjust or rehang fire door to ensure gaps between door and frame are 2-4mm

  • Installation or adjustment of self-closing devices

  • Supply &Installation of Intumescent strips & cold smoke seals

  • Replace door handles, latches & lock mechanisms which are CE approved & fire rated

  • Fire Door Hold Open devices including magnetic hold open devices & Acoustic type units

  • Maintenance & Repairs to existing fire doors which are not operating correctly

  • And if required, supply of new fire doors and associated door furniture & ironmongery
